Reviews from the qualification for the German (national) GO Championship 2014

The Qualification (preround) for the German (national) GO Championship 2014 (in September the final games) took place this weekend….

Professional In-Seong Hwang (8D), counted as the strongest player of EGF (European GO Federation) living in Grenoble (Switzerland) gave four (audio) reviews Saturday and Sunday on KGS from the prerounds 3, 4 and 6. Tks to German GO Association making this available.

The game of Franz-Josef Dickhut with Benjamin Teuber might be the most interesting, as FJ as white had to run over half the board wthout having a living group, and still wining the game…

Pre-registrate for the 6th KIDO CUP 2014 (open tournament 7th-9th June) now

Form June 7th to 9th 2014 the 6th Kido Cup will be held. It is organised by the Go-Landesverband Hamburg (German National GO Association with HQ in Hanseatic City Hamburg, North Germany) and the Hebsacker Verlag (Book publisher). The total amount of money and material prizes will be more than 10,000 Euro.

Kido Cup is modeled as a Korean multiple style Tournament – with a top group, and main tournament with special prices for women and youth players and children’s tournament – generously sponsored by the Korean company Kido Industrial Co., Ltd., and supported by the Omikron Data Quality GmbH, the Hankuk Kiwon (Professional Players Association) and the KABA (Amateur Players Association).
